Supporting Music Education When Budgets Are Tighter Than Ever

With school budgets tighter than ever, Northtown Music continues to support music educators and their students.

We are proud to offer free music folders to music educators for their band, orchestra, and vocal programs. Most music stores charge around $1 per folder, but we have made the decision to provide them at no cost. It is our way of giving back and supporting music education in our community.

What Makes Northtown Music Different?

Many music stores are backed up for weeks or even months. At Northtown Music, most repairs are completed within a day or two whenever possible. We are careful about taking on large projects when they would interfere with our turnaround time. If a repair is beyond what we can handle quickly and properly, we’ll tell you honestly and help point you in the right direction.

We believe in fair, reasonable repair pricing, often at a fraction of what customers may find elsewhere.

We proudly provide repair services for numerous school districts throughout Western New York, including Iroquois, Buffalo Public Schools, Cleveland Hill, and many other music programs.

Helping Students Choose the Right Instrument

Choosing the right instrument can make a tremendous difference in a student’s development. Sometimes a struggling clarinet player may be encouraged to move to bass clarinet when the real solution may be returning to fundamental instruction and developing the student’s technique.

The right instrument isn’t always the answer. The right guidance is.

We encourage educators, parents, and students to make decisions based on what is truly best for the student, not simply what seems like the easiest solution.

Northtown Music offers high-quality musical instruments at exceptionally reasonable rental prices. In many cases, our rental rates are about one-third of what some other rental programs charge.
